MADAM (Mankind Accredited Development Activities Movement) is a Boston-focused 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to expand access to technology, digital literacy, and STEM education for underserved youth and families.
Our goal is practical: connect people with useful technology and learning opportunities that can help them succeed in school, work, and life.
After giving a young person a used laptop, founder Abdul Kanu saw how access to a working computer could open the door to learning, exploration, and opportunity. That experience helped shape MADAM’s commitment to making reliable technology more accessible to people who may otherwise go without it.
MADAM also sees a second opportunity: companies replace technology every year while many computers and devices still have useful life. We are working to create a responsible nonprofit pathway that can connect usable equipment with community needs.
MADAM centers its work on practical resources and learning opportunities that strengthen digital confidence and future pathways.
Laptops, computers, tablets, phones, monitors, and related equipment.
Practical skills for education, employment, communication, and everyday life.
Opportunities for young people to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Connecting technology with learning, creativity, career awareness, and future pathways.
Extending the useful life of technology and reducing unnecessary waste.
MADAM wants to make it easier for institutions with usable technology to connect those resources with communities that can put them to meaningful use.

MADAM brings businesses, institutions, and community organizations together around one practical goal: getting useful technology and learning opportunities to Boston youth and families.
Redirect usable laptops, computers, tablets, phones, monitors, and related equipment toward meaningful community use.
Connect MADAM with companies, universities, hospitals, schools, civic leaders, and technology organizations across Boston.
Help shape reliable programs, measure impact, and turn one-time support into lasting community partnerships.
Boston young people are preparing for a future where technology skills, digital confidence, and access to opportunity matter more than ever. MADAM wants to help make sure that a lack of equipment does not become a barrier to that future.
Useful technology should have a pathway to people who can use it, and businesses that want to make a difference should have trusted community partners who can help make that happen.
MADAM welcomes introductions to organizations, leaders, and institutions that may be interested in responsible technology reuse, digital inclusion, STEM education, or long-term community partnership.
